·        David recognised God’s absolute authority

·        Satan endeavours to turn us away from God

·        God’s Plan will give us victory over Satan and the evil in His time

·        If we seek God will give us strength to wait for His deliverance

·        Let us seek to God to remove the evil from within us so Satan cannot attract us to sin

·        The hope will be realised when Jesus Christ returns.

·        Saul was jealous of David ; Satan is jealous of God

·        We must learn that God is in control of our lives and we should thank Him for what we have  - not complain about we have not

·        God has made each of us different and we must learn to accept the uniqueness of our life 

·        Stan attracts us to be jealous of God’s Power and Plans for our lives

·        In God’s New Kingdom there will be many Mansions, but each person will be happy living in the one God gives them

Friends with Jesus Christ:  John 15:8-16

Hymn 47:  God’s Standard

·        David and Jonathan developed a friendship

·        Through obedience we can develop a friendship with Jesus Christ

·        Our friendship with Jesus Christ will invoke the wrath of the Devil

·        We must be true to our Friend, and Satan’s power will eventually lose its hold on us

·        Let us look for our Friend’s return to this Earth so that we can experience a physical as well as a spiritual relationship with Him.
