Hymn 100:  Jesus Christ – Our Example

·        The Bible says we have  three components– a spirit, a soul and a body

·        Our spirit pre-existed in a Heavenly state before it came to this World

·        Our body is formed when we are physically born

·        When the spirit from God gives life to the body a soul is created

·        If we die the body goes back to dust, the spirit returns to God and the soul “sleeps” in the grave until the resurrection

·        When Jesus Christ returns the spirits of those who have believed in God will be released to re-unite with their souls, and will form spiritual or celestial beings and enter into the New Kingdom

·        God has a special number who will be alive when Jesus Christ returns, who will be preserved wholly – in spirit and soul and body – and will become terrestrial beings, putting on immortality

·        These are the “Mansions” Jesus spoke about in John chapter 14 – God has prepared a place in the New Kingdom for every one.
