The Warning from Moses:  Deuteronomy 6:1-3, 12-15

Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat reigns over Judah:  2 Kings 8:16-19

Judah joins to Israel by marriage, and introduces the ungodly worship of Israel:  2 Kings 8:23-27

Man Chooses but God is ultimately in Control:  Romans 13:1-14

Hymn 79:  Walk in the Light

·        Moses had warned Israel not to be influenced by the gods of the land they invaded, to turn away from God

·        The good new – the lineage of King David crosses back from Judah into Israel so that both Monarchies have descendants of David

·        The bad news – both nations turn further from God!

·        There is timing in God’s Plan and ultimately He will rule over all

·        There are promises for a remnant of Israel to return and worship God, but more importantly for each of us as individuals to follow His commandments.
