·     Israel’s first weeks in the wilderness – Psalm 78: 1-29

·     Surviving temptation – 1 Corinthians 10: 1-33

·     A lot happened to Israel between the first Passover and Pentecost

·     Israel were on a journey to refocus and re-invent themselves as a nation

·     Like Israel, if we recognise God’s role in our lives, focus on His work, accept His direction and accept His strength, we will achieve his plan for us.

·     We can be God’s special people of promise.
