Hymn
24 – Tune 22: The Meek shall Inherit the
Earth
·
Sometimes
when circumstances seem to threaten us we think we will have to fight!
·
However,
God is able to change circumstances to work in favour of those He is protecting,
so we need to put our trust in Him and not dwell on thinking about how we might
fight the battle.
·
Our
physical nature is tainted with evil which Satan attracts and causes us to sin,
and we must battle with this evil to remain faithful to God.
·
But
- the battle is the Lords - He can change the circumstances, and by removing
the evil from within our physical being, the devil will have no power over our
actions.
·
Like
Nehemiah’s army, on the one hand we have a desire to do God’s will, but also need
the Sword of the Lord in the other to fight against Satan.
·
Let
each seek to God to cleanse us from evil so that we can be obedient to His Laws
and Commands and present our whole being (spirit and soul and body) to be ready
to be changed and made like He is, when Jesus Christ returns.
