God
provided some powerful food for Elijah to prepare him for a long journey
·
Like
Elijah each of us experiences ups and downs in our life, and in our relationship
with God, but He has promised Daily Bread to sustain us
·
This
“special food” comes from the Power of God’s Spirit to do His work in us; but John
in Revelation says sometimes it is contrary to our natural nature
·
Jesus
said that He is the Bread of Life – He can forgive sins, but in addition God has
Power to remove the evil, which is the cause of sin within us
·
As
Elijah surrendered his life to God so may we offer ourselves in spirit and soul
and body to Him, asking Him to feed us with “food convenient for us”.
