Jesus
told a parable about a man who had great earthly wealth, but had not thought
about his relationship with God
·
Balaam,
on the other hand, was offered great earthly wealth to go against God’s Will,
but he refused and said that he could only do what God allowed
·
In
Acts Ananias and Sapphira deceived God by agreeing to withhold money after it
had been promised to God, and they were punished for their deception
·
Solomon
tells us that Wisdom is better than rubies – that is, treasure in heaven is
worth more then treasure on the earth
·
God
does not forbid us to have earthly wealth, but if we do have, He forbids us to
worship it above Him
·
Our
bodies are a treasure given us of God, and we should seek to preserve this
treasure so that we may be changed and made like Jesus Christ at His
return.
