Summary of Readings

·                     This Series has shown that our desire to know and understand leads us to seeking a purpose in life which ultimately can only come from belonging to God

·                     Consequently, we live in expectation of the fulfillment of His Promises

·                     Bible students in Jesus’ time expected the coming of the Christ, and wondered how it would happen – today we look in the same way for His return

·                     As we each await God’s direction in our lives, we seek to follow the Lifestyle set out in the Scriptures - Peter and Paul both gave examples

·                     God has shown us that He expects holiness from those who wait on Him, seeking to be consecrated to Him wholly - in spirit and soul and body – at the end of this age and the return of Jesus Christ to this earth.

Summary of Readings

·                     God has made each of us and has placed us on this earth to live our lives and to find a purpose for our being – our desire to know leads us to finding purpose in a need to belong

·                     Solomon explored all facets of life to try and find a purpose, and concluded that the ultimate solution was to fear God and Keep His commandments

·                     Although we appear to others as physical beings, observation shows that the dominant purpose of existence is found in an understanding of the non-physical forces and powers that exist around us

·                     Faith allows us to connect physical reality with the spiritual realm, and Jesus explained that true purpose is found in seeking to live for others – sometimes we may not understand why the purpose fills our quest for satisfaction!

·                     We believe an ultimate purpose is to be alive until Jesus Christ returns – to be preserved wholly in spirit and soul and body - and to be changed and made as He is.
