Hymn 123:  A Personal Relationship with God

The Lord’s Prayer from Luke 11:2-4

Psalm 3: – The Lord Protects His People

Bible Readings: -

·     God Unsettles the Enemy:  2 Kings 7:1-20

·     God Can Control our Minds:  Acts 9:1-9, 19-22

Hymn 100:  An Example to Follow

·     Sometimes God works miracles and defies the Laws of nature, and other times He just pushes the boundaries!

·     With God we should not fear to believe the unbelievable – either in events or the changes He can bring about in people’s lives

·     The lord who did not believe did not partake of the promises

·     It took the sincere disciples some time to accept the changes God made in Paul’s life

·     We must always be prepared to put our trust in God when we ask in prayer for Him to do something for us

·     Jesus Christ exhorts us above all to develop a personal relationship with and dependence upon God and He will provide what we need

·     Sometimes prophecies about the end of this world order and the return of Jesus Christ may be difficult to understand, but we can still hold a hope to be preserved alive in spirit and soul and body to see the windows of Heaven open at His return, and be changed wholly and be made like He is

Hymn 6:  Heaven will Come to Earth

Hymn 122 – Tune 123:  A Personal Battle

·     When we ask God for help He sometimes helps us using resources far beyond our control – like calling on the forces of nature (hailstones) to help!

·     Further, God is not restricted to “acts of nature” with which we are familiar, but can loosen secure chains and open locked gates

·     Jesus exhorts us to above all develop a relationship with and dependence upon God and He will provide what we need

·     It is through prayer and doing things for others that we will grow closer to God and receive His protection in the battle between good and evil

·     Let us ask God to give us understanding to believe in things beyond the limitations of this world as He prepares us wholly for the return of Jesus Christ to this earth.

Hymn 49:  A Personal Calling
