Summary of Readings

§     Joshua was a Transactional (carrot and whip) and Transformational (changing Israel from a wandering group into a nation) Leader

§     Joshua learned from his own relationship with God, and from experiences with Moses, to be spiritually sensitive

§     Joshua was constantly looking for signs of God’s guidance, and always followed His instructions exactly

§     God said He was with Joshua as He had been with Moses (Josh 3:7)

§     God responded to Joshua’s request for the sun to stand still for one day, which reminds us of the Power that God gave to Jesus

§     Jesus Christ has promised that God will give those who ask, and believe in Him, power over hell and death, to be fulfilled at His return

§     Let us seek to develop a spiritual sensitivity that we may grow closer to God, and seek to claim these promises.
