Bible Readings:
·     Christianity in the Old Testament:  Isaiah 40:12-31
·     Christian Doctrines:  Colossians 1:1-2, 9-23; 2:1-11, 18, 20
·     A Believer’s Walk:  Colossians 3:1-4, 22-25; 4:1-2, 16-18

Hymn 12 (Tune 13):  Jesus the Man
·     The first 2 chapters of Colossians presents doctrine about the pre-eminence of Christ, whilst the chapters 3 and 4 present practical aspects of the Christian life
·     Christian Israelites understand that Christ is the Heavenly Father of this creation, and that Jesus is the (physically) begotten Son of the Father
·     It was Christ (the Spirit of God) that did the works in Jesus when he was in his mortal life, and then at His resurrection, God’s Spirit entered into Jesus and became the source of His life – making him fully Jesus Christ
·     Paul says Jesus was the firstborn of many brethren, and hence His life shows an example of what God has promised to do in a special people in the Last Days in preparation for Jesus Christ’s return
·     God’s Plan encompasses restoration and redemption of all in the fulness of time.
Hymn69:  Restore and Redeem
