The
Readings show three main categories of temptation:
§ power (the lust of
the flesh) – to be desired to make one wise
§ prestige (the
pride of life) – pleasant to the eyes
§ possessions (the
lust of the eyes) – good for food
·
Eve,
Jesus and we are tempted with the same temptations – the content changes in
different generations, but the process is the same
·
Christ
the Spirit of God came upon Jesus and showed Him to be the King
·
The
King overcame the temptations of Satan
·
God
has promised He will overcome temptation in a Special People in preparation for
the return of Jesus Christ
